Men’s golf shot the best round of the day and finished third in the tournament. They will now play (match play) against the other three top 4 finishers for the championship.

We need to make all our athletic programs great, either again or for the first time.
Golf is still pretty solid…but not 11 straight NCAA trips and Top 10 rankings “solid” like we were.
We lost Coach Jamie Green to Duke in 2009 and he is one of the most successful coaches in the NCAA. When Duke came after him we were paying as much as they were, but he still chose to go there. Sometimes there is just nothing that we can do.
I know we did, but we “maintained” NCAA bids and occasional national rankings for several years after that…until the last 2-3.
