08 Playoff Picks

The Falcons scare me as a Panthers fan. If Westbrook is healthy, Phildelphia can make a run to the NFC Championship.

On the AFC side, I would be terrified of the Chargers. Yes, terrified. They are going to drill someone in the playoffs. They are finally healthy.

My picks:

Wildcard
Minnesota vs Philly
Atlanta vs Arizona
Indianapolis vs San Diego
Miami vs Baltimore

Not that he’s going to keep it up, but Tarvaris Jackson has played really well the past three weeks. If they have a legitimate passing game they are really tough to beat. Not saying they are going to win it all, but if they get past the Eagles I could see them giving the Panthers a really tough game.

Divisional
PANTHERS over their opponent as determined on wild card weekend

Championships
PANTHERS over the remaining NFC opposition

Super Bowl
PANTHERS over the AFC champion

I only selected the games that matter.

From a Charlotte Observer sports page perspective, I wonder if Mike Persinger would rather have a Panthers Super Bowl win OR a UNC-Chapel Hill National Championship?
I think it’s going to be one of the defensive teams this year.
That doesn’t bode well for the Panthers.

Cardinals over Dirty Birds
Vikings over Iggles
Colts over Bolts
Ravens over Fish

Divisional
STEELERS over Quoth the Raven never more
PANTHERS over Attila the Huns
GIANTS over RedBirds
TITANS over Horsies

Championships
PANTHERS over GMen
TITANS over SteelMillers

Super Bowl
Panthers over MusicCityMen

So we have…

1 for Minnesota
1 for San Diego
Lots for the Panthers

I’m going to say it will be the lions… but only because I don’t want to jinx the home team

I think we should decide the SB Champion by a majority vote. All in favor?

Wildcard

Bal over Mia
Ind over SD
Min over Phi
Atl over Ari

Divisional

Bal over Ten
Pit over Ind
Atl over NYG
Car over Min

Championship

Car over NYG
Pit over Bal

Superbowl

Car over Pit

I do have a little bit of bias here. I have been a Steelers fan my entire life and I am trying to change my allegiance over to the Panthers though. If the Steelers and Panthers both make the Superbowl, it will be the first time I have cheered for the Panthers over the Steelers.
