Do you just troll our board looking for places you can defend KSU and/or yourself?
I check it out every other day or so. I actually think it’s a good board. I’m a bit surprised for a school as large as Charlotte that there isn’t more members/traffic.
Good to see others are noticing what us fans have seen for a while. As an overall coach on and off the court Huggins would definitely be one of the top coaches you wouldn’t want your kid to play for.
Seriously man. This is a really nice set up. And I’m not saying this as a Charlotte student posting on a Charlotte board, I’m saying this as just a regular internet user. This is a nice darn board. Good layout, aesthetically pleasing, arcade, poll box on the left, easy to use. You guys at the KSU board should look into moving to a vBulletin board. And to the makers of NNN, nice work.

I understand the Maxim criteria for that was more due to character issues and what not. On ability and coaching style I would add Dave Odom from USC. He has shown the inability to get teams to the NCAA tournament consistantly since Tim Duncan left when he was at Wake. I wouldn’t call back to back NIT Championships something to be proud of.
Personally, it’s a coin toss. The Big 8 was traditionally as much a b-ball conference if not more so than football. With the Big 12, it has swayed towards football. I enjoy them both - have KSU season tickets for both.

Here’s a hypothetical question for you.
Let’s say that for some bizarre reason the KSU basketball program was investigated for um… um… let’s say a recruiting violation… and the NCAA made a mistake and decided they were quilty (even though everyone knows that would be a complete impossibility). Would you still support the basketball program?

I think that becomes a question of whether you feel you’re supporting the “program” or the “University”. I personally feel I’m supporting my University…so the answer would be yes. Not that I see that occuring, of course.
Ah, yes.....Maxim Magazine...the bastion of college sports.
Well, I can’t argue the lack of credibility the magazine has when it comes to sports. But with that said, millions of people read that magazine and will all see Huggins on the list. So, congrats on having a slimy coach that has just been spotlighted in a well-read source of media.
I guess my point for making that comment to begin with is that everyone (who knows anything about sports) knows that the coaches on that list have been involved in scandals, etc. during their tenures. There’s nothing really newsworthy about the story. It’s as if Maxim had a couple of pages to fill and had someone just through it together as we’re once again approaching the college fball/bball seasons.
I’m certainly not trying to dissuade anyone of their thoughts re: Bob Huggins.
Maxim probably didnt base it on his coaching, but more on his public image.
So on that track, it is correct, he isnt exactly an angel.
Besides, to the millions of people reading it, he will be a bad coach, and a people that do follow KSU Sports will think Maxim sucks now or something.
In the end, Maxim makes money. Bob Huggins… is a criminal.

I totally agree.
A few of those coaches are some of the greatest coaches in history.
