It’s the comments that get me on this one. I guess we shouldn’t kill Gators TILL they kill someone, damn silly PETA fools.

I have a problem with HOW she put the animal down. If you’re ill-prepared to humanely kill the animal you’re hunting, you’re a POS.

That’s on her guide, not her.

So cutting the spinal cord (nearly instant death) for the Gator is inhumane?

To be fair, she said it took awhile to actually get it cut.

She went hunting for 10+ foot gators with a .22 caliber rifle? Are you serious? I mean I’m no expert but that seems really insufficient. I’d think a gator that big would just get pissed off after a shot from a .22

I imagine so, that’s a huge gator. In most cases though, as long as your knife is 6-7 inches, it’s a pretty humane way to kill an alligator. I’m not an animal hater or anything like that, but this isn’t a pet, it’s an alligator. If this thing would’ve eaten someone, would we worry about how we kill it?

Many states have laws that regulate gator size. Most require gators over a certain size be exterminated on sight.

I’m really sure the gator will think about killing your kid humanely while he’s doing the death roll.

I can’t believe we’re talking about humane for something that has US on the damn food chain! Make that MFer suffer to teach the rest of 'em a lesson!

I don’t have a huge problem with hunting, but I find it sad when large, old animals get killed. I guess I would feel as proud, just to witness this great creature in the wild, as other people feel when they kill them.

But, IMO hunting with guns is for amateurs and lazy people.

I agree with Universal. As long as that animal isn’t endangering human life, let it be.

A gator by definition, eats people.
