Jermaine Williams and Chris Nance, too. JUCO’s can be useful when filling an urgent need, but they should not be a significant chunk of your recruiting haul. I wish we’d had Jermaine for one more year - he was getting really good by the time he was a senior. Who remembers his posterization of Brandon Bender?

I remember them all very well 2k. I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m only saying that if someone is ranked #1 JUCO point guard, we can’t blame the coaching staff for trying.
I don’t blame the staff for trying. I do however question whether they watched the #1 JUCO pg actually play or recruited him based on his ranking. You can go after JUCO’s and be successful but you have to do your homework and make sure they can play on this level and make sure you use them in the role they are best suited. Lamont Mack was a good player for us that came from a JUCO but he was at his best when used as a secondary option. When he was the go to guy he struggled at times as did the team.
