2013 Football Opponents/Schedule Thread
I can think of another Jacksonville Dolphin

Dee Brown. He pumped up his Reebok Pumps on the way to a slam dunk title.
This…I remember being amazed that he had the NBA success he did as Byron Dinkins was the better player at the time and should have stayed longer in the league.

Updated 1st post for Campbell game.
Alright, fess up! Who’s spreading rumors in the Gold Mine comments section?

MikeyNINER said... I know for a fact we have scheduled a road game against Tennessee for our first season. The logistics are not complete yet, but we will be receiving $500,000 to play them. This information is from a friend who is interning in the UT athletic department, and it is very reliable. I guarantee it.

Anonymous said... I heard yesterday from someone very close to Darin Spease (Assistant AD, and the guy in charge of setting up the program)that we have opponents for the first two years. Some of the dates and contracts aren't set in stone yet, but we should expect to see a fairly detailed schedule within the next month or so.

From the Campbell thread.

I thought this might be a good place to post this article:

http://www.annistonstar.com/view/full_story/9614406/article-JSU-hoping-guarantee-games-can-offset-cost-of-stadium-facelift?instance=home_lead_story

JSU hoping guarantee games can offset cost of stadium facelift The Gamecocks are set to bring home between $300,000 and $600,000 from the six games they have contracted with FBS teams between this season and 2015.

Another $500,000 is expected to come when the contract is signed for a verbally agreed game with Auburn in 2013. Add another $505,300 in football guarantees from the fiscal year ending September 2009 and the Gamecocks’ total take from the guarantee games exceeds $3.5 million from the time the stadium project began.

Road Trip.

updated the first post

So was CSU signed today? I saw the AD last night, & she’s like we’re not announcing anything until we have a signed contract, so I assumed that if CSU was signed yesterday, she would have mentioned it.

Judy’s said something along the lines of “Stay tuned for more news on scheduling. We have several contracts out there and are waiting for them to be signed before we can make an announcement.” So I would assume it was just signed within the last 24 hours.

With all of these home-and-home series, it’s starting to look like the first 2 seasons will be identical. I’m glad we’re scheduling relatively local programs. If we’re going to play small schools, I’d rather them be semi-recognizable.

Another road trip to Charleston! Works for me!

Passed CSU last weekend. It’s in the Goose Creek area. Brother lives about 10 mins from the campus. I saw the football stadium… not much there.

Road trip to the smallest D1 football stadium in America! Woooooo!!!..lol atleast the view will be nice and up close haha

Yeah South Point High School’s stadium in Belmont is nicer than that.

Holy crap… ???

we’ll be chanting, “this is our house,” before game is over with!

Wow a track at a FB stadium? Just like HS. :))

So where the hell are we going to sit?

or at Duke.
