Ok as we begin the school year what team (in any sport) will you be following hoping to gleefully watch them fail? Who will you be tracking in your various sports apps just hoping that you see reports of a loss? Come on we all have a special place in our hearts filled with hate for a few special teams out there. Who is it for you?
I will start the ball rolling with the obvious choice. Our dear friends from up the road, the Davidson Wildcats. I intend to track every basketball game their vaunted mens team plays in their new conference the Atlantic 10, taking much joy with every failure. I hope their precious fans enjoy their new reality. I hope when they are grinding out a late February road loss on a cold Philadelphia night that they remember the SoCon and maybe they will shed a little year for what they had. And I hope that they remember that they only got to move up to the A10 because we vacated the space. And I hope with all my being that we provide them one if their many home losses this year when we visit Belk Arena. All of that would make me happy.

Not sure I would agree with that. In Memphis a few years ago Cincy was playing in the Liberty bowl. We were there for the Memphis game. Ran into a good number of Sincy fans who remembered us very cleraly, I talked shit to 4 of them for about an hour. If that series started up tomorrow those feelings would bubble to the top in an instant. I will give you though their newer fans and the 6 new fans we have made since those days, have no clue.

I like Ingram and Bryan, and I do wish them well, but there is a part of me that wishes they were coming to Halton for a one-and-done where we just flayed them. I want players to think that coming off the bench at Charlotte is much better than starting for a lesser team. Maybe I am dreaming.

I agree…but I was thinking more about “pro teams” with former Niner players/coaches than other college teams (of course with the one exception I noted).
Austin, I agree with Washington Redskins shouldn’t drop their name, & as a Cowboys fan, I don’t like them, but like their standing on principle in the face of idiot PC’ers.
