2019 Men's Hoops Coaching Carousel

I actually think Cronin is a good coach (and have for a while). I’m surprised by the fairly “meh” response from the Cincy fanbase on message boards. I don’t know if it’s a problem with Cronin or the fanbase (perhaps delusions of grandeur), but they don’t seem too beat up about it.

Cronin definitely an outlier during what seems like “Homecoming Week” on the coaching carousel. Anyway, after reading the following by Mike DeCourcy, I can understand his desire to move on - even if it’s to a dysfunctional UCLA and Pac-12!

Sadler heading back to UNL as an assistant?

Wonder why he would go from head coach to assistant? I would think it would be a pretty big pay cut since basketball is not like football when the assistants at P5 schools make more than head coaches at G5 schools. I think most top assistants make around $250-300k, but I could be wrong.

Was there not a report that stated the assistants would be making over a million a year.

The total salary pool for assistants will be $1 million.

Maybe it will not be a pay cut. “Sadler, who makes $350,000 annually”.

Following includes a couple of paragraphs about Lutz.

Cincy stays in the local metro area in finding their new coach.
