2021-22 MBB - Charlotte @ FAU, 12/30 - POSTPONED

Niners (7-5) head to southeastern Florida to open conference play at FAU (7-6). Owls are 7-3 at home, including a 2 point loss to Miami-FL. Lone double digits loss came at VCU.

CLT leads series 6-4, with the teams splitting the back-to-back games in Boca Raton last season. FAU has three averaging in double figures, led by 6-1 G Michael Forrest at 14.3 ppg.

Losing isn’t an option for Sanchez

FAU is playing multiple non-d1 to pad their win totals. This is a 225+ team. Can’t lose this.

True that FAU has 3 wins vs non-DI Florida schools and a NET ranking of #226. Still, with the exception of the aforementioned VCU game, have been competitive otherwise.

Look around college basketball so far this year with the transfer rules, there aren’t gimmes anymore.

And now it begins…

well, crap. Whatever. Hopefully, we use this extra time to get some extra practice in and stay sharp. Belmont Abbey anyone? LOL

Definitely sucks. Would be great to play a game before we play ODU.

In case there was any doubt, it’s us and not the FU schools who has the problem.

Actually FIU also as they were first C-USA program to go on pause.

FIU must be done pausing for now. They have games scheduled Thursday and Saturday.

Thanks for the update! One thing about C-USA - not the most transparent organization!

There is one area in which Charlotte Athletics never fails and that is following the rules to the letter of the law.

The University has a re-entry testing policy, so it’s not athletics. We should have expected this after everyone went home for Christmas break.
