2021-22 MBB - ODU @ Charlotte, 1/26 7:00 PM ESPN+

This is the most bipolar Niner team I’ve ever seen. I can’t figure them out. Guys don’t look like they are having fun but they never quit playing. The offense goes from terrible to flowing. Sanchez can’t figure out rotation then hits on a combo that clicks. It defies explanation!

Another great second half effort. I wish we’d play the entire game with the same intensity. We almost and should have beaten wake with the intensity we showed in that game’s second half. Glad for the W. Always.

I will say I saw some serious fire out of Ron last night. He freaking broke a wipe board while yelling at the team. Came over to the students section after the game and yelled .

Also like the student turn out last night. They were loud and into it.

This team is as likely to flame out as they are to win the conf tournament.

Lot of energy in the arena last night. ODU is very ā€œphysicalā€, but they were the ones complaining about the refs at the end. A needed win.

Good win. Fist half was a tale of shots just not falling, but good shots. Happens. ODU couldn’t miss during that stretch. This team doesn’t panic and stays with their sets. Butler did an amazing job, despite giving up 6 inches, on Trice in second half.
A win is a win. Take it and move on!

Go Niners!!

Curious what he said.

I couldn’t hear the words but it was obviously a sign of appreciation for their support.

That was a fun game and really enjoyed it.

The team fought hard.

Glad to see Garcia getting more time. I think he earned more time in the second half because he was being more attentive on defense. That was my impression at least.

Overall the entire team seemed locked in on D and didn’t let the shooting woes in the first half kill them mentally.

We need to go in strong on Saturday cause ODU will want the win bad. They thought they had it tonight.

Butler saved the ballgame for us with his block of Trice with 12 seconds left. As a team, much more defensive intensity in the second half. Good win.

Man I didn’t even notice Garcia was in the game. I can’t even blame drinking. I didn’t touch a drop. Did he really do anything?

One bucket but played some good D

Trice seemed to flail his arms out to ward off defenders almost every time down then act like he’s been hit when someone tries to get through that, has to be annoying to have to play against that since he’s already a large guy. Half the time the refs would call a foul on us. Glad they didn’t give him a call on that Butler steal, it shouldn’t be a foul to go for the ball when the other guy is trying to hold you off with his arms. I imagine this will be even worse on the road.

Was happy to see the comeback after such a poor first half. Young is a pretty amazing player when he’s on. Threadgill had some nice aggressive drives to the basket. Garcia getting some minutes was good to see. Wonder how it would look with both him and Khalifa on the court together. Agree with above that some of the teamwork between Young and Khalifa was great.

Had a HUGE drive and one. He also made a big diving attempt to save the ball that Butler really credited with starting the rally.

Yes. He looked more aggressive. He guarded Trice better and him and Jallow set the tone on D a couple times. And he passed up a wide open 3…

What’s the over/under on Trice’s age being 40?

The sideways no look pass Aly made early in the second half to Jackson was sick !
Didn’t score ,but what a pass and catch !

Hated to see Garcia get taken out of the game right after the dive.

Yeah and that move he made to the basket was big time.

Probably said" Happy you helped us win. Ya’ll did some good things, tonight, but there are areas we need to improve upon"
