The thing about this type of loss is that it can hang over and lead to another the next game. Hope we have the wherewithal to play well tomorrow.

Not gonna pile on as I’ve only been a casual observer… But as someone nowhere nearly as tied to the baseball program as you guys are, the bullpen has looked problematic since day 1 of this season. At least to this casual fan’s eyes.
Gotta figure this out if they have postseason aspirations.
Our coach is supposed to be a pitching guru, but our pen continues to struggle. Not mentally tough yet IMO.

The BP has been good on occasion, but today has to be the low point.
Today was a bad day, but overall our bullpen has improved over last year. We also haven’t had one of our top end bullpen arms Michelson for the past 3 weeks.
I’ve had confidence in those guys this season to come in and throw strikes, and most of the time they have. Today, they didn’t.
I thought Colby Bruce was going to a lock down guy out of the pen this year but he seems to have been struggling the last few games he has pitched.
On a positive note, glad to see McCabe back in the line-up. Need to win tomorrow!
Also lost Lothes before the season.
In my opinion, we have a lot of good arms, but are inconsistent. This is probably due to experience. I believe someone stated we do not have an Ace, which I agree with. We also do not have that top end relief pitcher(Lothes) either.
Long way to go. Still more work to do. Ish happens. Let’s pick up a road W tomorrow and go from there.

We have more problems right now than just the BP…currently being outhit 29-13 through 2.5 games this weekend to a mediocre UTSA team…4 innings left to salvage someone.

Swept by UTSA, lost today 8-5. Didn’t realize it was only a 7 inning game. Very bad weekend for both baseball and softball
There was a hard stop, I’m guessing due to flights. Anyway, CofC looked like our best baseball of the season. This whole weekend looked like our worst. I hope this is rock bottom and they rebound. Our issues surely exposed themselves this weekend.
As mediocre as UTSA is, they are probably playing their best ball right now, coupled with us playing our worst. They’ve just won 4 straight against ranked teams. I hope we meet in the conference tournament, because I think we’re due.
On to next week. Get this abomination of a weekend behind us.
It definitely did look like our worst effort of the season. Out hit 31-15 if i counted correctly and committed 7 errors to 0 for UTSA. Its also worth noting we won 3 of 4 against them last year…in Charlotte.
