Interesting. Mentions that Shaq Thompson and other NFL players wear it, and mentions Keuchly as a motivation for wearing it. Wondering if any of our guys use it?
If Top Golf can put a microchip in a golf ball and tell you how far you hit it then why canāt we put microchips in footballs and determine if a player got a first down or crossed the goal line? Sometimes refs give the worst spots.
The obvious simple answer is that the microchip would tell us how far the ball advanced, but not how far it advanced before the runner was down.
Hereās hoping we can keep that stat alive in the near future.
I agree you couldnāt use the microchip football during every situation but it could be a tool along with replay to help more accurately call the game.
clt says the microchip is already in the players.
Dang, you reallyā¦hate that for the guy? ![]()
I didnāt know what his buyout was.
That is steep.
Can these programs, even with all that TV money, afford to keep doing that? Firing a coach every year or two to keep their fanbase happy? Paying $15M+ buyouts every couple of years like Nebraska and Auburn are now saddled with?
Maybe I am crazy but that doesnāt seem sustainable.
The boosters come up with the money for the buyout so if they want the coach gone they just have to write the checks. The guy who owns Pella Wood and a few other boosters run the Auburn athletic department.
So their going to get Kiffin right?
Itās written in the stars Iām assuming.
Something just isnāt right about Harstin. Maybe he didnāt get a real shotā¦but, there is such a cloud around him. Hereās another buried in this article where one of the players says he treated team ālike dogs.ā Maybe sour grapes, but it seems Harsin is radioactive ![]()
This rumor is āinterestingā. No idea about the veracity of it but if true it would be more confirmation that Mike Houston is who we think he is. Food for thought.
Something to think about when it comes to hiring a new football coach or evaluating Sanchez.
