clt says no real airport in greenville nc.
When you compare offenses, Itâs pretty crazy how similar both teams are based on the stats.
FWIW, would think the 4 hour bus ride to Greenville more cost efficient than the 75 minute flight from Concord to Greenville once you factor in everything of transporting that many people.
FWIW My cousin works for UGA football and they bus from Athens to Auburn. So not exactly uncommon.
The funny thing is, I got dragged into a preseason argument with an ECU fan for daring to suggest that it wasnât a lock that their QB was going to tear up the AAC like he suggested. I said weâve previously had
QBs (multiple QBs - he called me a liar), none of whom really worked out, and our all time stats leader was a walk on. He basically called me an idiot.
Their fans were so certain that those stars meant that theyâd be unstoppable on offense.
Which QB for ECU was a four star?
I believe larger planes have to land in Kinston not GreenvilleâŚthats a 30min drive. Bus the entire way seems to make more sense.
Actually the problem of larger planes landing in Greenville was addressed about a decade ago so not an issue since the runway expansion. American has three daily flights from the QC to Pitt-Greenville Airport.
Biff mentioned in the press confrence that they would have to fly to raleigh and then bus the rest of the way so they chose the bus.
Thatâs interesting since one of the reasons for the runway expansion at Greenville was so that visiting teams heading to ECU wouldnât have to fly into Kinston and then bus the rest of the way.
clt says ecu has an airport issue
Well, not since 2014. And we know how important airports are to the Commish!
It is likely way cheaper to bus to Greenville plus it probably doesnât save much time to fly such a short distance.
Yep. By the time you bus everyone to the airport, plus the time that it takes to go through security, enplane everyone, etc and then deplane, etc at the other end, definitely more than the 75 minute flight.
The charters they fly outta concord probably are fairly painless with security and such, but I imagine buses are cheaper and as stated the time savings wood be negligible.
So since ECU is wearing their white helmets, does that mean we finally get to see our Green or Gold chrome hats?
