Just my opinion but it is hard to blame Fearne for last years end of year flame out if the core of your team basically lays down after getting the bag. It was obvious to me that they were going at about 70% to not get hurt which in all honesty is the way the system is set up. Why play hard and succeed to get the bag and then blow it by getting hurt and not playing the next year for a top 10 team with big time incentives and chances. Its the ugly truth of the $$.
Some might say thats the Coaches problem to work around that but at our level it is a hard dynamic to work out the first year of your job in a changing landscape like the wild wild west of today.
I dont know if Fearne is the answer but I do believe he knows Xs and Os and the ability to play a style of BB that wins if he has the horses. This offseason and recruiting will be make or break for his time at Charlotte. I personally hope it works out because of his demeanor and the way he represents the University.
