2024-25 AAC Basketball ๐Ÿ€

Have to admit itโ€™s pretty disheartening that Memphis has to lose for the AAC to get much attention. And a bit ionic that Fisherโ€™s hiring was considered a ho-hum choice by Temple.

I would speculate that is more about Temple playing well and being a good & motivated team than Memphis struggling. But we will find out soon.

Tulane at Temple on Sunday good early season conference important match up.

Seems many of these AAC teams are trending better than their overall records. i have noticed most all of these AAC teams are strong and athletic.

Yep, weโ€™ll see firsthand on Sunday if the Tigersโ€™ last three games are part of a larger downward trend or perhaps just a mid-season blip. Getting a game from North Texas not that surprising but the close call with the Pirates and a mostly uncompetitive loss to a so-so Temple are eye opening. Penny says in public heโ€™s not concerned but gotta think heโ€™s having flashbacks to last yearโ€™s meltdown.

North Texas 40-18 at halftime in San Antonio. Not surprised Mean Green is winning but still! :open_mouth:

clt says hahaha tulsa! you suck!

Seeing the AAC so much lower than CUSA and others is a gut punch. The AAC should always be in the 6-8 range.

Yep, those days are over.

Anyway, with all the โ€œcarnageโ€ in the Top 25 this past week, Memphis should still be ranked when the latest poll comes out. Might even go up!

Tigers still ranked. Sorta surprised they fell 6 spots in AP. Iowa State only dropped one spot to #3 after losing to unranked West Virginia. P5 bias showing there.
