Penny nicely compensated for another first round bow out:
Haggerty finished with 18 pts on 7-23 shooting inc 1-8 on 3s. Gotta wonder if he’ll be back in Bluff City.
Well now. Seems our one-bid conference has solidified its status as such for years to come with this one-and-done flame-out by the AAC Regular Season and Tournament Champion tigers.
So, we should focus ALL our energy and effort on winning the conference tournament, and not be concerned about the regular season, etc. Sad ain’t it?
And that’s a wrap for the AAC in March Madness. Bulls kept up in the first and third quarters but Vols played the entire 40 minutes.
More praise for Nelson:
North Texas and UAB are in the same bracket, so if Blazers beat UC Irvine on March 26, they will meet the Mean Green in an NIT semifinal matchup on April 1 in Indianapolis. The teams met in the NIT championship game in 2023, with UNT winning 68-61 in Grant McCasland’s swansong as head coach in Denton.
clt says we need to reload bigly, the American is looking stronger next season
Good to see Hodge will be allowed to coach the team through their NIT run.
I do not like where this is all going. I also don’t like a world where ECU draws more talent than us. I was hoping this season was an outlier. Sigh.
Blazers fall to the Anteaters in OT:
