This will be interesting. Former NMSU player implicated in a sexual assault / hazing case (with 2 other players). He pled guilty to some misdemeanor charges in exchange for his testimony, as the D.A. said that he had the least amount of culpability.
The sad thing is, if Oden is hurt, we could really use a player like this. But too much baggage?
Gotta think Bradleyâs involvement in a case of alleged sexual hazing of his own teammates would be a non-starter for 99% of schools.
Hadnât really thought about it until now but gotta wonder if this is a reason why NMSU hasnât gotten an MW invite, even though the coach was fired and all of the alleged perpetrators were dismissed, not to mention that the program was shut down during the midst of 2022-23 conference play during the schoolâs final year as a member of the WAC.
And problems extended beyond the MBB program:
And upon further reading, NMSU menâs basketball had an earlier academic scandal:
Thatâs why I said it was interesting.
I donât think this guy is going to get the benefit of doubt even with his plea.
Then again, I have seen some programs that would take any of these guys.
That is a bullshit metric.
It will reward teams that go 1-10 against a tougher schedule over a team that goes 4-1 against one with fewer bubble teams.
Aka low end power conference school over a mid major that goes like 27-2.
Same bullshit as ever.
Oh. Itâs like the Electoral College of NCAA basketball.
Temple AD Arthur Johnson is a member of the menâs basketball committee.
Except the Electoral College was designed to protect smaller states from larger population center states. So the exact opposite of this metric.
I usually post the college football one. I donât know about anyone else, but I do like the viewing guides. Helps me quickly check if there are any games on that I want to see .
Also what a treat to have hoops on almost all day today after Niners ladiesâ soccer match.
Hereâs a link to the first game:
Interesting that IU Indy is hosting the first official game of the D-I season.
