Well thatâs another win for the well heeled.
Wow!
See that Linder signed 4 high school hoopsters last November and more recently 5 transfers via the portal, including one we were in contact with. If Linder does indeed jump ship for the Big XII, most likely going to be utter roster chaos for his successor. Anyway, my understanding is that under this circumstance, players have a 30 day window to transfer.
Now seeing that Linder had served previously as an assistant under McCasland in the JUCO ranks.
A sitting D-I head coach leaving postseason to be an assistant for a previous boss? That sounds familiar!
Itâs probably going to happen more and more as it becomes increasingly difficult to keep players and compete in non power conferences
True but Linder had 4 freshmen and 5 transfers signed up for next season. Plus the Cowboysâ 2024-25 roster lists 14 players, so was ready to go come November.
Of course, I understand whatâs going on here. Linder is getting as raise and will be on the staff of a more times than not NCAAT program at a P5 school.
Why am I not surprised?
Yep, know where all of this is heading eventually. Enjoy March Madness in its current makeup while you still can.
Great reminder of what weâre up against.
Again, I am ready for these schools to break off in all sports, especially revenue sports.
Never play them again in any sport. So tired of this crap.
FWIW, Norlander is referring to those MTEs involving primarily P5 (ACC, BE, B10, B12, SEC) teams. Would assume other on campus MTEs at MM and LM schools will continue because those arenât involving NIL payouts and are 3-4 team events to begin with.
Anyway, if you click on Norlanderâs post, part of a longer thread.
âHey - do not let the little sisters of the poor have any chance at a quality win! We cannot share any more of the sacred money pie with them.â
