Gotta hunch the DG experiment will be a short one.
Watched a game tonight. Had shot clock and back count violations. Poor shot selection as well as a 25% FT shooter at the line. Break downs on defense resulting in wide open 3 pointers. One team blew a double digit lead and game went into OT. Even had a coach who was the interim last season before getting the job full-time in spite of no previous HC experience at any level. Big Ten action.
Been bouncing back between UConn vs Creighton and Pitt vs Clemson games. In the latter, see that one-time Niner recruits Ishmael Leggett and Ian Schiefflin are having very nice seasons. Also a mention of first D-I Niner coach Bill Foster!
The only highlight of this season is that Ron Sanchez was handed the reigns to a P5 program a few years removed from a national title, that won 23 games the year prior and he is on track to having a losing record and never having a chance to be a head coach ever again.
IT ISN’T CHARLOTTE. IT’S THE TERRIBLE COACHES WE’VE OUR “LEADERS” HAVE HIRED.
Pitt’s Damian Dunn another one-time Niner recruit also having a good season. Gotta give Capel credit for resurrecting his career in Steel City and Pitt for giving him the chance and patience to do so.
Geez. Slow day in highlight land? That was a great assist?
Thought it was pretty good. Plus it involved Coach Albin’s former school, even if on the receiving end. I’m not one who thinks that P5s are the only teams worthy of highlight reels.

Actually our AD as recently as a few months ago was talking about Sanchez being his trophy hire.
Inheriting such a bad bball program and being able to land a coach of Sanchez caliber… that was the essence of his quote.
Definitely has been an interesting day.
The U has definitely checked out. Trailed 60-26 at halftime and lost 117-74 today to SMU - in Coral Gables!
Cardinal no longer winless vs the Holes as former Dookie hits the GW!
