Seth is persistent if nothing else:
Am I wrong to agree with Seth about the tournament field needing to be expanded? NCAA has gradually added more and more D1 basketball teams. Tournament needs to grow proportionately, at a minimum.
I just don’t want the extra spots going to P4 teams. Nor do I want it to continue to be used to make non P4 teams participate in a pre-qualification tournament for the last crappy seeds in the 64.
Seth basically doing the bidding for Sankey.
And they graduate too! ![]()
Using ESPN per Lunardi as of today, we’d get four P5 teams and four non-P5. Latter are Boise State, Colorado State, Dayton, and UC Irvine.
This is interesting. My understanding is that post-Steve Prohm Murray State is positioning itself to be the NIL leader in the Valley. Not exactly sure how much if any it affects Hardaway’s efforts in Bluff City.
I had always heard that banning dunking in non-pro hoops was in response to Lew Alcindor (aka Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) but apparently more to it than that. Anyway, good read:
Watching Marquette vs St. John’s in the Big East semis. Definitely a contrast in roster construction with Smart eschewing transfers and Pitino recently saying he’s not even recruiting high school players.
America East champs!
Big XII champs!
Big East champs!
