Then schedule against nationally and regionally prominent teams
If a weak schedule is needed
Then schedule against local schools (Davidson, Queens, Gardner-Webb, etc)
If we need to travel the breadth of this country to match up against an irrelevant opponent, then thatβs just a sunk cost.

Dean has been gone a LONG time. Have we forgotten that the Niners played in Chapel Hill in 1998?
Or that Davidson made the trek to the Dean Dome in 2001 and came away with a W?

Niners last played what is now LIU Brooklyn in 2008 in Halton. 
First ever meeting came in 1974 - an 83-63 Bill Foster era UNCC victory in the Mine Shaft.
BTW, since the Niners last βdanced,β LIU has 4 NCAAT appearances.
Finally - the undefeated 1935-36 Long Island team (26-0) is credited with a pre-NCAAT championship.

You only schedule like Memphis if you think you can compete for an at large bid. We need to crawl before we walk. Build on last year and have another quality year of 18+ wins. Itβs a slow burn, but attendance will tick up and the investment will stay steady. I like Fearne and itβs time to stabilize the program.
