What are the rules (?) for players that just signed with Ohio, can they be let out of their signing and sign with another school. In other words, can Albin try to get them here?

Yea, I saw that. I just brushed it off. They are understandably frustrated. Funny tho, it has provided another example of the reality that âUNCCâ used by virtually anyone outside our sphere is only done as an epithet. But no, definitely still better to keep the schoolâs current name.

They donât have a clue whatâs here. Nor should they, really. Just like I never plan to step foot in Athens, Ohio. Hell, I donât plan to go to Ohio at all. Although, weâve gotten some awesome base players from Hamilton.

Tim is a great coach and family man, his wife is also so loving and sweet and will have a loving hand in the program. They have two kids who are both married.
This move is a mix of a few things, rewarding himself and his assistance with a pay increases and a place to raise family as many of them have younger children. I expect a few of them will follow him. He also cares about his players and pets and the commuity.
According to what I could find Tim was making $700k base with up to $81k in bonus for such as 8 win season, additional wins, champship app, champship wins, bowl app, bowl wins COY, and player awards.
I have to wait to see his new contract, but it probably includes a larger base salary and larger pool for assistances as the main things.
Athens is a very small town that is located in southern ohio, one of the poorest places in Ohio. Home of Joe Burrow - he refers to our area in his hismen speech. It very hard to recuit and has little to no NIL here. They mostly recuit instate players and a few hot beds. Things have also changed over the past 2-3 as their has been changes as coaches/staff/ admin leave for bigger and better things, so the consistancey Ohio once had for 8-10 has slowly fallen apart.
His one goal was to end Ohio 56 conference championship drought⌠he did that, so it not surprising along with muliple 10 wins and bowl wins that he get offers, we are more shocked by how it leaked out this afternoon.

Not a PR person but would think that Hill received Albinâs permission to âleakâ the news. Iâm guessing introductory press conference some time next week.

Report from Athens is No Tim Albin or the Ohio AD at the celebration. Only the school president and team, a few players spoke, but the student body was going crazy. Media members were in attendance.
