How is that even possible.

Bad roster/load management. I have very big reservations about Poggi’s ability to lead a program

I 'm dumbfounded. I mean after the 3rd, 4th, 5th injury you’d think we’d back off the intensity.

In fairness maybe we did but wow, this is…well sub-optimal.

I think in this situation you really see the high school coach come out of Poggi

My hope is this is gamesmanship. Because now we are all talking about it, which I’m sure was the point.

Last year Biff spoke as if we belonged in the four team playoff when in reality we couldn’t complete a forward pass.

I think this is a smokescreen, but it is unfortunately working on us fans as well.

I’m thinking this is some of that Lane Kiffin :rat: :skull_and_crossbones:
He also loves to stir up the media and this is a great way to do it.

He never used the word “OUT”, every team is going to have players that are banged up, but they still play i.e. bruised thigh etc… He didn’t mention names or positions. My hope is this is just Biff giving it back to the JMU coach who has said he doesn’t know who will start at QB on Sat.

Biff’s press conferences remain “interesting” going back to last year.

That sounds like terrible news honestly and didn’t sound like gamesmanship to me. He mentioned not being back to completely healthy until after the third game of the season…yikes.

I don’t know what to take from this. Is he making excuses already because he thinks we are going to lose? This sounds like a man who is already defeated! And if he is playing some mind trick then that makes it worse. I would rather have last years Poggi than the man i just watched in that press conference.

Just: WTF!!??

I dont believe it is gamesmanship, it is not like our starting line up is well known & ‘feared’ at this stage. Also arent we still trying to sell Tickets? It is only tuesday.

If it has impacted are already thin and limited experience ol/dl/lb’s you can see why he is so concerned. If we cant stop the run or run the ball it is a really challenging position to be in.

Just listened to the full 20 minute press conference. He wouldn’t say their names of the injured players because he didn’t think “it was fair to those players.” As much as some want it to be gamesmanship, doesn’t appear to be the case. He stated most of the injuries are “recent.” I don’t know if that’s conditioning or what exactly. I can’t recall having that many players hurt before the first game of the season.

It was a very discouraging press conference with some lines that reminded me of Healy near the end- of his time here… “Well I know the guys will play hard and give their best.”

I believe that is gold

MAC has joined Big Ten in requiring pregame availability reports but those have publication deadlines of just hours before game kickoff.

Anyway, Bobby Rosinski was just talking about the press conference on ESPN 730’s “Afternoon Rush” program.
