Tulane became bowl eligible today so wonโt have that incentive on Thursday. They are undefeated in conference play though, so that should motivate the Green Wave. Although Boise State currently has the G5 inside track on the CFP, AAC still in it should the Broncos falter down the stretch.
Memphis was already bowl eligible today, so I guess their incentive to win was they just didnโt want to lose to Charlotte. We had that game won and yet Memphis decided they were motivated, even in the rain with no crowd on homecoming. GAAAAA!
One loss Memphis has same conference incentive as unbeaten Tulane, Army, and Navy. All vying for a top 2 finish and a spot in the AAC title game. Depending on what happens with Boise State, AAC champion could find itself in the field of 12.
A Thursday night game, on Halloween will make it tough to get a sell out. Keeps a lot of families with kids out of the seats.
I will be there and I hope it is packed.
clt says the student section will have nurses in attendance
Agree with Advocate, Tulane is a very good team. They have won 14 straight regular season conference games. Really strong offensive and defensive lines & all types of speed, quickness and depth at DB & WR.
They have built a really strong roster, many of their transfers were all conference somewhere else before joining them.
Similar to the SMU team that I believe is now undefeated in ACC play. Btw both SMU and Tulane have two good QBโs on their roster.
Our advantage is this wacky Thursday night scheduled game, they played on the road last saturday as well.
Iโll have tailgate set up by 4. Anyone and everyone is welcome. Expecting smaller crowd based on day and time.
Lots of talk about the QB position, rightfully so, but I think we are really weak in the defensive secondary. The book is out on us. Just throw the ball deep for a reception or PI. Really need some help there.
Opening Vegas odds have us as an 15.5 point underdog
Going into this 3 game stretch (Navy, Memphis, Tulane) I was hoping we would get one win to avoid having to run the table at the end of the year. We still have a chance for that. Thankfully the game is at home because Tulane is an excellent team. Our defense will have to try to bend, donโt break because their offense can freaking score some points.
Is that a hole in Normโs costume box?
A surprise win against Tulane would be spectacular, however my goal, no matter the result on Thursday, is that we come out healthy so that we have the best possibility to run the table for the remainder of the year. We will have one team that will be fighting for a bowl bid and 2 that have nothing to lose but keep us out of a bowl, so we will need our entire team to be healthy.
Big news! Sportscenter on campus Thursday! Students really need to show out.
That is a really big deal.
We need the students to really turn out for this.
clt says serving pizza is a smart move to attract students
Thanks for the heads up. The students need to really show up and out for this rare occasion.
And especially for the game as well.
My oldest is at Charlotte right now and he said it is definitely being discussed amongst the students. So hopefully this means that they will show up BIG TIME.
Needs to be all over social media that the students follow.
