I said it before and will again, Chad Morris should have been hired by us a long time ago. He has been available and would be a great OC. We need one.
Across five seasons, Cignetti has a 52-9 record at James Madison, including a 31-4 record in conference play.
Can you imagine? I know JMU fans are crushed, but just to have a run like that for 5 years would be amazing. They also had College GameDay on campus 3 times.

I don’t feel bad for any players when a coach hits the portal anymore.

Cignetti is the real deal and has been…not sure why we didn’t go hard for him when he was at Elon (maybe we did, I don’t know)…but JMU fans are arrogant enough to say that Houston left and now Cignetti, but we’re JMU…we’re good, this won’t hurt, we’ll get the next best coach and be fine.
Still, they’re arrogant, but can’t blame them either…athletically, this ain’t JMU of 20 years ago…they got something going on up there in them thar hills.
What they have is a commitment to revenue sports and facilities. Look at their BB facility. Look at their budget for the conference they are in.

It’s a great looking basketball arena.
I have a friend who has let’s say strong ties to the football program there. He calls their football stadium “the mullet”. They love making fun of how half baked it is as much as we do.
They are confident that it’s the institution and not the coaches that breeds success so he isn’t panicked about losing Cignetti. We will see.
