Would be a killer hire IMO. Guy has done very well at Troy, a school no one ever talks about.
One of the most successful head coaches in the country the last two seasons, Jon Sumrall has guided Troy to a 23-4 record, two Sun Belt Conference championships, a pair of double-digit winning streaks and was named a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year twice.
JMU and Tulane both making what look like smart moves.
It isn’t as hard as we make it out to be.
Poor Kent State.
Tulane probably made the best hire in college football this year. That coach is the real deal.
Yes they did a great job to land Sumrall. Looks like he has now been able to keep a few of the key Assts from going to Houston.
Minter is the perfect candidate for the HC for the Panthers. The biggest reason is that no one else would want it.

Woah.
Rather surprised he retired this year. I respect what he has accomplished and don’t think it will ever be duplicated. The college football landscape just became more competitive.
Him stepping down marks the end of the pre NIL era. I don’t think he had any desire to stick around during it.
clt has a buddy in bama and he noticed chuck amato on campus this evening
He knows bama wont be able to compete long term in the NIL era. He saw the writing on the wall and bolted while the getting was good.
Or he could just be 72, rich and decided I’m tired of dealing with all this Bullshit
