2025-26 49er MBB Game #29 @ FAU 3/1 2:00PM ESPN+

Our guys like to watch the shot go up instead of blocking out. We went ice cold and I saw some players play timid in the last 5 min.

This one got away but I am OK with Fearne getting another year. We were picked last in the conference.
Everyone wants to fire the coach when we lose, but we have to look at the contract situation and if we are atleast going in the right direction. We are very inconsistent, but this team shows promise.

I am tired of the constant turnover and we have to stop paying people that are not here.

I know it is not a popular opinion here, but I hope White comes in and praises all the coaches and promises to do everthing he can to support them and the team. Take a little time and figure things out before making bold moves. I think his toughest situation is going to be what to do with coach Albin if we only win 3 games next year.

We are not going in the right direction. Preseason predictions are ridiculous and based on what we spent in nil and what teams like utsa and ecu were bringing in, bring picked last was silly. We’ve had 8 years of ron/fearne. We have 3 plus mill in nil to spend on next year’s roster, and it’s a waste to use it on fearne to win 17-19 games. Let white get his coach and move forward

We went from competing at the top of the league, to dead last, to .500 in an awful league. The only reason we’re in the “right direction” is because fearne cratered us so badly last year the only way was up. We had an abysmal nonconference and have been propped up by playing a light schedule in a really weak American

This x 100. We also lost to utsa, who is one of the worst teams in d1…at home

Elliot brings energy and the whole team plays harder when he’s on the court!

Yep, those 2 losses (UTSA and FAU) really hurt our finish and tournament seeding.

I have no idea what direction we are heading. Fearne’s interim season was mediocre at best until January/February but then very mediocre to finish the season. Last season was a train wreck from the beginning. This season the non-conference schedule was mediocre at best again, January was great and then back to pretty much .500 basketball. We could very easily lose the next 2 and finish the regular season below .500. There is no direction.

Thought we played well today, matched their physicality and we made some clutch 3’s.

FAU is a good team and showed it today. Understand everyone’s frustrations as we have not been able to beat the better teams in the league.

Speaking of physicality, the refs pretty much swallowed their whistles in the second half and OT.

I disagree. They’re mediocre at best.

Liked their PF he played well, they have a pure PG who controlled the tempo and that freshmen hit the clutch winning shot.

Boca Raton U!

Our two big wins for the season are now, Wichita & Tulane (who were missing their big guy)? Not great

Lost 7 of their last 9 coming into today. Also down their best player. They were low on confidence and we let them have a monster comeback

Back when it seemed a certain Greensboro hoopster would be donning Niner green this season, I figured any match-ups with FAU might help decide league freshman of the year. Well, Jalen Cross decided instead to spend 2025-26 in Winston-Salem - where he has ridden the pine more often than not - while Combine Academy alum Josiah Parker has pretty much wrapped up the 2026 American FOY trophy. Today’s heroics just added the bow on top!

Fau is not a good team. They are an okay team. We played pretty good until we got a big lead. They aren’t one of the better teams in the league. We were ahead of them in the standings

Ummm. We were down Mingo. One of our best players as well.

What is it about the 12 min mark? Too many times it’s when our lead starts to evaporate.

That’s when the game fixers are told to start tanking.

Sadly I think about this everytime a crazy run or sloppy play happens at the end of any sporting event.
