And since that tweet mentions “Tulsa Time,” here’s a live cover of that country music classic made popular first by Don Williams and then later by Eric Clapton.
Yep, it’s just before Christmas and school’s out, but that’s still a pretty sparse “crowd” in FedEx Forum for Penny & Co. Box score lists attendance as 9,673. Yeah, sure! ![]()
Must be 6000 or so at the concession stands or in the bathroom !
Just now seeing that Devin Vanterpool didn’t play vs UCF. Like Bradford for the Niners, the former is having a breakout season for FAU after limited minutes as a freshman last year. Boca Owls leading scorer, rebounder, and ball thief.
BTW, FAU jumped out to a 14 pt lead vs the Knights but were unable to hold on in the end.
• Another mid-major to watch for that’s quietly getting it done is Tulsa. Eric Konkol’s group finished non-con at 12-1, its lone loss by one point at Kansas State. This is the best team in the American, and a big year is overdue; Tulsa hasn’t won an NCAA Tournament game since 2003.
Bulls win this season’s penultimate OOC matchup vs the D2 Bobcats of Milledgeville.
BTW, Memphis will close out non-con play vs Utah State on Valentine’s Day.
