This latest hoops point shaving scandal is a reminder that it’s not the first in which Tulane has been implicated.
Thursday’s news comes four decades after point-shaving allegations and revelations of players being paid caused Tulane’s program to be shut down by then-president Dr. Eamon Kelly in 1985. He reinstated the program for the 1989-90 season.

East Carolina was favored by 2.5 points over Tulane at Minges Coliseum in Greenville, North Carolina. Prosecutors say fixers had recruited Tulane forward Kevin Cross during a video call and offered him $30,000 to underperform.
According to prosecutors, the gambling ring bet at least $140,000 on East Carolina to cover the full-game spread.

This Temple FAU game is making me very frustrated.
The refs are calling everything. Consequently, Temple can’t rough FAU up the way they got away with guarding us. It’s a complete 180 from how our game against them was called, or our game against Tulsa.
If our game has been called this way, no way Temple handles us like they did.
