2025-26 American Basketball 🏀

Dont think we are in a position yet to upgrade our OOC schedule, last two years have both not been good in terms of us being competitive.

But the bottom in scheduling was last year when we hosted the team that played the night before and then played us but the game did not count towards their record. I remember i could not even believe it when the announcers were saying this!, by definition it was a gimmie. Was it Presbyterian?

Didnt we also play Liberty and they beat us like they were Duke, their players looked so good against us in every facet of the game.

It was D-II Livingstone from Salisbury. Actually not unusual for such a game to be counted as an exhibition for the non-D-I team when it occurs during the regular season window.

Penny putting together another monster OOC to counterbalance the league sked. Just not sure he’s going to have the team to pull it off in November and December.

But is it typical where the DII team plays a game that actually counts the night before??

This seems to be a new low for cupcake scheduling.

That was Livingstone’s decision to play back-to-back games. The paycheck and close vicinity surely made it easier to say “yes” and sign the contract.

Scheduling like that allowed us to be so well prepared for conference play🫣……..

Yep, I have never cared much for regular season games vs non-D-I teams for a number of reasons.

No love for the AAC in this F68 podcast - “You’re going to have a bunch of jabronis between January and March.”
