USF had a major problem with ULs bigs. Unfortunately, shows us how far we have to go in a small amount of time.

Thought USF would do well in this game. Maybe just an off game, but also maybe it’s telling about how far conferences like the American were below the stronger conferences this year (particularly given Louisville is playing without their 2nd best scorer).

Ennis did have a bad game and USF shot poorly, especially from 3. That was the game. They didn’t give quit and made it respectable at the end.

Tulsa & Wichita St have been and are really quality teams & programs in the American.

Yep, Tulsa and Wichita State were pleasant surprises this year. Konkol probably had the hotter seat coming in at 34-60, while Mills was an even 34-34. The latter’s predecessor Isaac Brown was dismissed after going 48-34 with an NCAAT appearance so Mills wasn’t assured another season but most likely now OK with the run to the ACT title game and NIT. Big thing will be if they can sustain their respective suceess beyond this year and hopefully assist in raising the stature of the conference in the process.
