Was scratching my head last year that we didn’t recruit this local hoopster (Carmel Christian) and latest on the now 2nd year UNC Asheville Bulldog only intensifies my bewilderment.
Missing out on local players is a staple of this program.

And speaking of Boston sports venues, been watching #7 BYU vs #3 UConn at TD Garden. Huskies seem so far ahead of the Cougars as a team it’s hard to believe this is a top 10 showdown. And must be using NBA refs since it’s an NBA arena (and that’s not a positive observation on officiating). Plus I’m reminded yet again of another player from NC that we didn’t recruit evrn though he played high school hoops in the QC and nearby Lincolnton.
Of course, after switching over to football then coming back to hoops, BYU has made it a game at the under 4 TO in the second half. Silas Demary from Raleigh doing his best to keep UConn ahead of freshman phenom AJ Dybantsa & Co.
