A-10 loaded at the top for its 50th season, though Davidson and Niners potential ESPN MTE opponent Richmond aren’t among the preseason favs.
The A10 leaving Davidson behind, sort of like it did us a while back. Maybe we have a chance for the Hornet’s Nest trophy this year.
Yep, if Bailey and Durkin hadn’t bolted for the Big Ten, then Cats would definitely be higher. Right now something of a mystery.
M ost of the schools might be private, but Davidson still has the curse of being an outlier southern school in a Yankee league. I just don’t think that’s a recipe for sustained success, as we learned.
VCU definitely figured things out. Can’t get any more Southern than Richmond.
Potential Niners “Black Friday” opponent Furman a fav in the SoCon.
Niners Thanksgiving Day opponent Illinois State is the preseason pick to win the Valley.
Niners two Coastal opponents tabbed on opposite ends of league’s preseason poll - CofC #3 (12/14) and NC A&T #13 (12/3).
I still think VCU would be a killer add for the American to balance Army.
I think CofC will finally join the A-10 before VCU would consider a move down and into a football centric league at that.
With ACC Media Days starting tomorrow in the QC, going to be interesting to see where our lone match-up with that league (as well as only P5) is rated. VA Tech landed highly regarded international player 6-9 Greek CG/SF Neoklis Avdalas and some think he could be a 2026 lottery pick. Definitely showing up in the mocks. Also talk of the Hokies being an NCAAT team, which will be necessary in order for Young to save his job.
Well, had pretty much forgotten about him. Thanks a lot Patrick!
Mr. Cliche one of those singing the praises of VT frosh Neoklis Avdalas.
Just listening to the Field of 68 guys talk with Mike Young at ACC Media Days. Believes he has an NCAAT caliber team and said frosh Neoklis “Neo” Avdalas is likely the best player he’s ever coached. Also said rebounding is a point of emphasis as the Hokies prepare for this season.
