I agree. It may work out but I still believe the tarholes are taking a gamble they would rather not be taking.
I agree with Cameron Williams, the longer Sean May lingers at Carolina, the less likely he will be coming to Charlotte. I still have a glimmer of hope that he will come, but it is fading. Also interested to hear whether Miller is going to retain Dinkins
Sean May staying in Chapel Hill.
Sean May, Pat Sullivan, and Eric Hoots, each of whom was on the staff for all five seasons of the Hubert Davis regime, are being retained by Malone, multiple sources have confirmed to TarHeel247.
sources that I have read say that they have been offered by Malone. It does not say they have accepted. other sources have said sean may would be associate head coach at Carolina,. That’s not true as Malone has hired Arkansas assistant coach as his associate head coach. I agree it’s not looking good for may to come to Charlotte, but weneed facts not rumors.
I think Miller probably already knows and is working on another assistant
Yeah I think Miller has already moved on to other options
Miller knew when he announced our current AHC hire.
So Miller - HC, Dollar - Assoc HC, Paige - Asst HC… That’s it so far. Seems like Miller still has some work to do to fill out this staff.
Funny they fire the “family man”, but retain his staff.
I don’t understand it either. I think if Miller can pull something off here, he ends up being the next guy there.
How many assistants does a team keep now? It has changed over the years.
English not unemployed for long.
Sean. Sorry, but can you move down a seat on the bench for Kim and take your Carolina and Bobcats gear and put on the back of the new seat. Thanks!
obviously May is not a high priority for Malone now
English joins Chuck Martin, who arrived from Arkansas last week and was a longtime assistant under coach John Calipari and started in Kentucky. Malone is also retaining Sean May, Pat Sullivan and Eric Hoots to his initial staff. The group of five coaches bring a wealth of experience for the college game to complement and bridge the gap with what Malone brings from his time in the NBA. It’s the perfect mix of both worlds and necessary in the NIL era.
IIRC, Sfera is from Southern California.
