The answer would be no in spite of this from the Wofford AD.
This is what I initially thought happened at Wofford since player mistreatment is why Perryâs predecessor had been dismissed in 2022.
Also former Ole Miss and Georgia State HC:

And no doubt due to this staff scandal:
Would say âWow!â but we are talking Billy Clyde here. And just weeks before TCU makes the 75 mile trek to Stephenville to help âinaugurateâ the Texansâ new 8,000 seat arena
Well, that was short-lived. And no, thatâs not a typo by Goodman!
From Adam Nelson of HoopDirt:
I have heard from multiple sources that Steve Lavin is expected to add former Charlotte head coach Alan Major to his staff at San Diego.
Hasnât been able to duplicate his success at New Mexico State since leaving Las Cruces.
Ex-Terps coach probably wonât get any congrats from Jahmir Young! ![]()
While reading up on Turgeon, reminded that he was the coach at Wichita State prior to his stints at Texas A&M and Maryland.
Guessing this means Alan Major will be out as well.
Per Norlander, sounds like San Diego had already started search for new coach prior to todayâs news.
Lavin will coach through remainder of the season.
How long do you think Davidson will put up with Bob McKillopâs son Matt. He is only a couple of games about 500 after 4 years (with a number of those wins coming against division two teams). More telling is the fact an he has an abysmal 26 and 41 win loss record in the conference. I legitimately want your thoughts without smart ass comments about them being being better than us. This has nothing to do with us but about the demise of Davidson basketball from the heyday of Bob Mckillop
McKillop has 6 wins vs non-D1 competition, though none were D2. Would say his seat is definitely warming up, especially with yet another middling finish in the A-10 after a mostly decent run in OOC play. Can recruit but not a great in-game coach.
