It sucks losing your leading scorer every year. But beyond that, the lack of continuity from season to season is absolutely killing my fandom. I don’t want a whole new roster every season. I miss the days when opposing fans would complain about how long a guy like Diego or Jon Davis played for us. ‘is that guy ever going to graduate?”

Hope Miller can get Elliot back to Charlotte. I’d rather keep Elliot than Bradford. Probably not the most popular board opinion, I just feel like Elliot brings more to the team.
The problem is, it’s always unclear if the player entered to explore options, or was advised that it was time to look elsewhere…we just don’t know. I could’ve been a mutual parting of the ways or the coach’s/player’s decision. I do hate the process though.

Look around the AAC. It happens to every team every year. I’m pretty sure we lose a higher percentage of our players to the portal than any other conference.
Agreed. It’s also even more expected this year with the coaching change.

No one should be surprised by this, it is “normal”. Still a terrible and unsustainable norm for this sport. Has to be reigned in

Someone somewhere must have some good tape on Gomez. Money from us for 2 games and now a B12 offer for him with limited playing time with us.
This movement is going to suck until the replacements are awesome and we win the league.

Not concerned about any of this player movement. It’s happening at every school. The main thing I’m interested in is who will be on the team opening day next season.

I hope we keep Villar. He’s the type of player that could develop into a hard nosed star.
That means he will be in the portal within 30 seconds of this post.

I didnt watch much this year bc of what college ball has turned into and we just aren’t competitive. But from what I remember from Bradford he didnt impress me. Forced shots and TOs were too much of a problem for the role he seemed to be expected to play.

Raul Villar has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal and will therefore be seeking a new university for his sophomore year. Raul provided some memorable moments coming off the bench as a freshman at Charlotte; now, he will be looking for a more prominent role.
