Yeah man. Did not sound like people were too happy that the AA wasn’t doing an official tailgate so maybe they will get pressured into it - or at least host something at a bar. There was talk of renting out Clutch. Apparently the AA will be present at the fanfest and that is why they are opting out of the official tailgate.

Any recommendations on parking? Doubt we tailgate on a weekday.
clt says park on campus and tailgate, then ride the light rail down.

Total incompetence if nothing is done all week. Not on gameday is bad enough. It’s not that hard to get this right

I have no idea what the logistics are but if our AA staff is required to be all in on the fanfest that looks like happens gameday (i am not sure), I will give them a break on having an official tailgate. Our AA staff really isnt big enough to split up.
Now if we don’t have a rally or anything else all week that is a huge fail. I like Jodi, she is on top of things over there, but I can’t quite figure this out.
If doghouse falls through maybe we will work with Clutch and see if we can lock that down both for our tailgate and the official nonofficial pregame party.

Alumini association will have a tailgate that they will be announcing soon.

LoL sounds like it got run up the chain then. The BoT I was sitting with wasnt pleased when he heard there wasnt going to be an official tailgate. I do love Jodi though - shes awesome. Id say she the best AA director we have had in a long long time.

Are we not capable of getting the right date on the Charlotte athletics homepage? It shows the game on the 30th. ESPN also has the game on the 30th at 1:00 pm.
There will be no excuses for our AA and the University to not have lots of events for Alums and students that day. This isn’t hard to do.

Ok so sounds like AA will be tied up with fan fest in the street. So rather than do a traditional tailgate they will host people at clutch to pregame or watch game if they aren’t attending.
We might throw a pregame after work shindig in the courtyard on thursday. Working on details.

Charlotte Athletics site under football and then schedule says 30th on my phone. ESPN app under NCAA football shows the 30th at 1:00. I don’t know why mine is different but it is.
Looks like crappy appy will need to find another watering hole. WBT-TV just posted a story that Resident Culture is shutting down immediately

Heard at the clutch event last month that things were being planned for the game.
Looks like a lot of resources are going into the fanfest at the park, which is probably
a good idea. A lot of casual fans and kids will be there.
Also heard Clutch was going to be involved again for this game. Still have time to get stuff organized. NWA - it would be cool to have the normbulance at Clutch if there is an event there.. OR Just pull it up on the curb in front of Vallhalla, across from Romare Bearden. There are no rules uptown anymore.

This seems like a must Win, given Carolina also in town in a few weeks with Belicheck.
Lots of pressure to gain some type of overall momentum, lets face it, off the bottom of FBS.
We need to have patience with new Coach & program, but the fans have had all types of patience.
Thinking about the JMU & Ga state games of last two years, OOC, where we continued to just show how far down the stack we were as a Program after being told how far we had come.
