There would be a small advantage from App St not knowing who the QB will be. But, there would also an advantage in having the matter officially settled a week before game day, so that the team has time to adjust to who their leader is, and everyone could get used to, and accept their role. My personal opinion is that he will announce the starter a week before the game, and let the chips fall where they may.
Now, another possibility is that two QBs end up very, very close. In that case, we might get something a bit more unusual. Itās possible that QB-A will be announced as the starter for the first quarter, and that QB-B will start in the second quarter, with a decision made at halftime as to who will start the second half. You donāt see that done very often, but itās not impossible, given how close the QBs seem to be.

CarlP- how is Ohio football looking this year? Do you follow them closer than Charlotte? Also, where is Ohio projected to finish in the MAC by many and where do you think theyāll finish?
Opening up with Rutgers, WVU and then Ohio State is rough and then Gardner-Webb

I expect the offense to be good. The offense will be almost all returning players, and the OC is now the head coach. The starting RB is a portal transfer, but heās well known, as he was a portal transfer out, last year, so heās essentially a returning starter. The mystery is how good the defense will be. They lost some good players, including some to Charlotte, and Iām not sure that the replacements will measure up. My gut feel is that it will be an 8-4 or 7-5 season. As you point out, the tough non-conference schedule doesnāt help.
Hate to see these injuries. Even if itās app.

Swann was a starter in 2022 and 2023 for Vandy, then transferred to LSU where he played very little.
Edit - That means, of course, that Fitch is very familiar with him.

Perhaps this is an ignorant questionā¦but I not received my tickets yet. Have they been sent? Did I miss something in the mail while out of the country?
I received an email 8/12 about loading my tickets to my Apple wallet. Check your email for that day.
Gotta go thru Charlotte Sports Foundation. Get the app and you should see your tickets there. I still donāt see an option to add to my wallet, but I can see them.
Honestly this is a PITA. If they arenāt in the Charlotte app then they should be in the TM app. Stupid to have a system linked to TM, but forced to use another app to access.

Yeah I went through the CSF/TM apps and my tickets are locked and loaded in my Apple wallet.
I was amused they were black, but Dukeās mayo logo colors are black and yellow. Hmmmm.. Not making any connections to our opponentās colors, but I was amused by the coincidence.
