2025 American Football šŸˆ

Tulane just too athletic and both sides of lines are too good for NT.

NT just got hosed on that last Tulane td…..ball was clearly loose before he got to the goal line……if that wasn’t ā€œconclusiveā€ I dont know what would be.

Plus with the exception of the missed FG, all the breaks have gone Tulane’s way.

@run49er

Do you happen to know how the American handles bowl revenue splits with the conference members? I’ve looked it up before but I forget. I’m thinking the schools get to keep the bowl money, but Tulane will have to share the CFP money.

JMU is getting $4M of their CFP money, while the rest of the Belt members get $300k each.

Been looking for specifics but so far haven’t found anything. Will keep checking.

Saw somewhere dont know how accurate, $11.3m in Total Tulane brings in. Includes $3m/round expenses, $4m bonus for being a top 4 conference winner (they beat and ended up higher ranked than Duke, ACC winner). Also includes some academic money.

Again dont know how accurate this is. Guessing they share $4m of it with the other conference teams not sure evenly, but that is a guess.

If they win and get to next round, get another $3m++.

Thanks!

Still trying to determine how non-CFP bowl monies are distributed. Used to be all went into one league pot but with the AC now rewarding team performance in football and basketball, not exactly sure how it gets divvied up, though assuming the actual participant gets the biggest cut. Of course, bowls aren’t all equal cash-wise and some teams won’t make any money.

Still don’t understand this hire but, as always, time will tell.

And, of course, the irony of Memphis hiring Hall’s successor at Southern Miss, who - like Hall’s USM predecessor - also had a winning record in Hattiesburg.

Good hire.

EZU just lost their DC to USF and are about to lose their OC to either VT or Ole Miss. Sounds like a rough year for next season.

This is crazy. Hand painted football helmets for one game? (albeit Army / Navy game).

Do they sell these afterwards as a fundraiser? Seems like it would be a good idea.
