I think we may have asked a little too much from JT tonight, but we were 1 strike away 2 nights in a row.
When he gave up the early lead tonight, I thought we would have gone a different direction in the 9th. At least give them a different look, since they had seen him the night before too.

It would seem to me that if you were angling for a new job that you would want to be checked in.
I still contend that our issue is on offense. We have too many quick innings at the plate. I’d like to see us having more quality ABs where we work the count. It also wouldn’t hurt to take what the pitching gives us more. We are constantly being pitched outside while looking to pull the ball.

In all seriousness, he’s been offered at least 2 SEC jobs since he’s been here, and I wouldn’t be surprised if others came calling. We are fortunate to have him. It is good to have a coach that is wanted by others.

I agree that overall, we have lots of empty ABs, but last night our bats did enough. We had the lead in the 7th & again in the 9th.
Again, we were one strike away, so hard to be too critical, but the bottom line is we just didn’t get it done.

Yeah, now almost certainly. However, 7-10 days ago we were playing our way into the tourney. BA even had us among the “first 4 out” recently. Thats why giving these 2 games away to SF is soooo damaging.
