How many Ohio players have we gotten? It doesn’t seem like many. I thought we would at least end up with a few more.
I am not positive, but I don’t remember or seeing where we have picked up any player from Ohio

You are correct but also they didn’t have that many to enter the portal either.
Stellan Bowman lists his current location as Charlotte. Parker Startz has an offer.
It could be that the coach hasn’t extended very many offers to Ohio players because he doesn’t think they will work well in a stronger conference?
According to their twitters, LB Bowman, LB Startz and K Spetic have Charlotte offers.
DL Weaver and DE Doggette are visiting Wisconsin and WVU respectively.
Our other portal starters, OL Dennison and S Brawley, don’t have any offer or visit info that Ive seen, so who knows?
If I were a guessing man, I’d say Startz and Bowman will probably end up as Niners. Weaver and Doggette are probably P4, and not sure about the others. I do know they expected to lose Spetic even without the coaching change.

Hey guys, thanks to @SSNiner, I was able to put together a google sheets of our commits/recruits + returning roster/not in portal. This allows us to see our entire roster that we can expect, plus who we might be getting from offers.

Very nice work! That clears up a lot of questions for me. A minor error - you list 2 LS, but on your count, only add in 1, so there are 97 players currently on the roster. You have also not listed the three Freshmen (Nate Means, WR; Reggie Rainer, CB; Jadyn Farmer, DL). Are they signed? If so, that brings the roster up to 100, leaving room for only 5 more, with the new roster limit of 105.
When you consider that Charlotte has 40 players in the portal (after those that withdrew), and has added 17 from the portal, that means that last year Charlotte must have had a roster size of 97-17+40=120. Of those, 35 must have been walkons. I presume that the list of returning players includes all 35 walkons. At some point the staff is going to have to tell at least 20 of those there is no longer room for them. It may be a challenging year if Charlotte plays with 35 walkons and only 70 scholarship players.
For now there appears to be room for only 5 more players. I presume that the players will be evaluated in Spring camp, and about 20 will be told there is no longer room, leaving room for 25 more players. As the game of musical chairs draws to a close, those will be easier to add, because there are going to be thousands of players who end up with no offer at all.

Thanks for pulling this together. Unless I missed him I don’t see incoming HS QB Jack Moran on the list. 247 still has him as committed to CLT.
It’s been said in one of these threads that he decommitted a while ago. I had checked those sites and thought he was still committed, but I reckon they just haven’t updated their info.
Well, OK then. Did any Freshman actually sign, or are Farmer and Rainer also going to be no shows?
