2025 Charlotte 49er Football 🏈

If you want Bulldog content, go read ESPN.

That got a legit chuckle from me.

All Niner fans need to read your stuff. Both entertaining and insightful.

I think I would throw Army into the middle grouping of games that we could win but will need to play really well, rather than a guaranteed loss.

I also think UNT and UTSA are going to light up our defense. Those games are going to be harder than I think you’re saying. I think we will score but we may still get boat raced.

The App game remains huge to our season outlook, IMHO. Tough to have such a pivotal game that early, but I bet Albin sees it as a coaching challenge as the better coached team is probably going to win that one (seems like the talent is comparable). I like our chances.

Both UTSA and NT offenses will be lights out, for sure. I don’t think this team is built to win a shootout so the Niners will have to find a way to contain them to walk out with a win.

The nature of Army’s offense allows for a team to stay in a game if you can contain the passes strewn in while giving resources to the run.

I am excited to watch this three safety system against pass-happy systems.

Thank you for your kind words!

From listening to Hunters podcast with Harrell and then the one with Loftis, it sounds like we have two very high IQ QB’s with a great level head! They seem like they are drama free too and that they’ll be good leaders! Excited for them to compete!

I predict a Mike Hill Is A Loser Theme Day is coming, but he won’t be planning that one

Army will destroy Charlotte. Good for them. It’s a well-managed program that doesn’t make NIL excuses

Will be interesting to see if Army’s new QB is as prolific as Bryson Daily last season.

I’m still looking for responses to my “Charlotte Win Total” survey if anyone wants to take a stab at guessing the season win total.

He won’t be great like Captain America, but he won’t need to be when they face the Niners.

That’s what it comes down to. Our road schedule is murderous.

I am really tried of hearing that we should have agreed to move the Tarhole game to BOA stadium and basically give up homefield advantage. I liked Hill’s response. I did not realize they had considered moving the date.

Overall a good interview, once I stopped eye rolling at Fowler’s repeated mentions of moving the game. No agenda there eh Scottie? :winking_face_with_tongue:

I liked Mike’s answer too.

Also nice to know we are catching them off a short week. I don’t know if that will be as much of an advantage as some might think, as I expect our game vs App to be a slobberknocker. I think we will appreciate the extra couple of days but we will still be recovering too.

For those that are stopped by the paywall Mike is bringing in seats like we did for App a few years ago and we aren’t offering single game tickets as of yet..very obvious that he is trying to keep this a home crowd, which I commend.

Mike did well in that interview.

Glad he was very upfront about why we did not move the game.

This is OUR home game, and by God we’re playing it on OUR home field. Screw everyone who doesn’t get that or like that.

If they want to play it in BOA, it should be played there always, and never at Chapel Hill.
