Another successful Niner interim coach reappears.
Wow, he is their for life. If he has a dry spot and Indiana does try to get rid of him he still has the $93m to squeeze by. He’s just going to go fishing and yell at the bait and tackle people and other fisherman.

Cover 3 Podcast will almost certainly do an emergency podcast today. Auburn, Florida State, Wisconsin, Florida, LSU, and others could fire their coaches today.
Love the Cover 3 podcast. They will fire them if they have the money.
I question, like with Franklin at Penn St, how they are going to get anyone better in some of these programs.
These extensions are stupid.
They need to pay higher yearly rates to reward recent success but on short contracts so the buyouts are not so bad.
To add, it seems there are some excellent coaches on the market that are getting let go.
This level of firing overpaid coaches is unsustainable.
Someone has probably made a list of all the coaches currently receiving huge payouts for years to not coach.
These schools are just wasting all that TV money. Explains why they are so desperate for more.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been an informal coach salary cap worked out between the SEC and B1G ADs, at least. Legal or not.
Napier could be a good hire for UAB.
Had forgotten about UF’s drawn out general administration issues in which the school is now under it’s second interim president following Ben Sasse’s resignation over a year ago and a botched initial search for his successor.
I read this from the ESPN article “since the Gators are still paying former coach Dan Mullen, they will be paying three head coaches for the second time in seven years once they hire Napier’s replacement; they did the same with Will Muschamp, Jim McElwain and Mullen in 2018.”
Hold on, being a 49er fan, I thought that was normal
