Just now thinking of this, but if Sfera and/or Smith were the primaries in Blackwellâs recruitment, then their respective departures could have factored in his flipping as well.
Anyway, whatâs done is done.

clt heard from a source that reiber was spotted on campus working on dribbling drills. he can run point if needed.
If he signed with us how did he go to UTEP since portal was closed
Most likely never enrolled.
Another reason to hate this ânew worldâ.
Actually nothing new. Weâve had players flip on us long before now.
We now have a 13 player roster and seriously doubt that we will pick up anyone else unless they are extremely good. Hard for a coach to keep players happy sitting on the bench and most teams like to operate with 12-13 players
Not even being sarcastic when I say the day is near where a player for some team does not come out for the second half because he committed to a new team.
clt is fully prepared for that to happen to murray state players at the college world series
I believe we are still looking for a big. A high priced one in fact
Iâm assuming that the AAC opted in to the roster increase for menâs basketball from 13 to 15. That doesnât mean teams are required to have all 15 on scholarship - that number can also include walk-ons. And, of course, no requirement all spots have to be filled.
My read, which of course is limited from comments here and Fearne interview. Starters were potentially going to be:
Juco PG who isnt coming - just based on recent comments from Fearne about taking him some time to adjust and spoke a lot about him.
Mingo - seems the board thinks he was our number 1 recruit.
Blackmon - Fearne spoke a lot about him in the interview and played him a lot last year, he really likes him. Seems to be an inked in Starter.
Butler 6-7, seems to be the athletic bigger forward who we will need to be our rebounder and defender in front court. Not sure we are deep here again at PF rebounder/defender. He began career at Oregon.
The Center from Norfolk, not sure either of the new Centers are ready to play lots of minutes, but maybe the two of them can be a good center platoon for us.
Not sure how are shooting will of really drastically improved with this particular line-up, but lets see and the AD saying so much talent the issue will be having enough playing time for how good the talent is.
Others thoughts?
I would be surprised if harrison doesnât start but i imagine our starting PF/C is not on roster yet
I didnât have the impression that Blackwell would be the starting PG, especially with Mingo on the team.
