Niners offered in July 2024 so would think we’re going to reach out again:
Can mark another target off the list, with conference foe Wichita State winning out.
According to Conyers, other schools he considered were Xavier, UAB, Indiana State, UNC Wilmington, UT San Antonio and Tulsa.
Played very sparingly at USC. One of his best games was 13 pts in 31 minutes on 4/10 shooting (3-6 from 3) vs #2 Auburn.
4.3ppg. Im not sure id say sparingly but a rotational piece as a freshman
13.6 minutes per game was what I was looking at.
He also only shot 30.8% from the field, which certainly isn’t going to help us correct one of our biggest problems from this past season.
Has good length. Guessing he is a defensive player.
But as Lutz said, you need guys who can score the ball.
Thank god he wasn’t coming off an injury. Looks like he was a solid three star coming out of high school.
The stats don’t seem that bad to me for a freshman at a P4.
Seems like a solid addition to me.
Good addition for us. And easy for SCAR to watch him so if he balls out for us they can take him right back
I have every confidence that Fearne will turn him to a valued P4 transfer for his senior year.
Such is our fate
Is that 30% FG shooting a typo? Must of been launching mostly 3’s!… what was his 3 pt %?
I don’t follow Gamecock hoops so not exactly sure why Paris used Conyers the way he did, though latter’s poor shooting most likely factored into those decisions.
Sixteen total minutes in the first 6 games of the season, then double digit mpg over the next 7, including 30+ minute outings vs Auburn, Miss State, and Oklahoma. Then a rollercoaster of single and double digit minutes over the rest of the season.
Decent FT shooter at 81% so perhaps working on attacking the basket instead of chucking 3s would be a place to start.
Another one bites the “portal” dust:
Mark another one off:
Another strike.
Same old same old.
We were already out of the running after not making his “top schools” list.
Niners showing interest in 6-8 Aussie.
Knew he would be a long shot:
