Reiber was a 4 playing the 5. He played hard and I appreciated his time and effort and willingness to play where we needed him!!
And another contact staying out West.
Just not our day with contacts:
So, the portal closes today, and we still only have half a team for next season?
Someone wanna talk me down off the ledge? WTF is going on with our hoops program?
Are we waiting on some closeout sales after all the players get picked through?
Portal closes for people to enter, but you can sign with another school anytime as long as you are in the portal
FYI - timeline of last year’s official announcements for 2024 additions:
April 12 - Blackmon and Rosado
April 19 - Oden
May 1 - Metskhvarishvili
May 14 - Thomas
May 16 - Coach Johnson
May 21 - Szymczyk
June 24 - Bradford
Portal closing doesn’t mean you can’t get commits.. but yes, 2mediocre commits is concerning
Almost 3 weeks between the initial post on April 2nd that he was transferring to Charlotte and the official announcement today. Have no idea if that’s typical for all the paperwork etc going through proper channels.
Latest contact to head elsewhere:
One more time! ![]()
I like the 2 signings we have so far ..I think the Center from Norfolk State is a steal ! I also think Conyers is coming here to make a statement for himself . Now it’s concerning seeing other schools like high point and UNCW recruiting better than us but I think fearne is looking for the best fit . Be patient fellas
Speaking of weight room. He’s 16" taller than me and the same weight.
JUCO contact chooses L.A. and Big West.

6’7 F Ethan Butler (@ethanbutler14 ) was a TWO-WAY MENACE for the NIU Huskies this season prior to suffering a foot injury:
• 8.9 PPG
• 4.1 RPG
• 1.5 BLK
• 53.0% FG
The junior is a strong, athletic forward with impressive length (7’0 wingspan) & defensive instincts. Butler is one of the 18 underclassman in the COUNTRY to be averaging over 8.5 PPG & 1.4 BLK on at least 55% shooting from 2PT this season, and over his last 5 games NIU was +17.3 PTS/100 better with Butler on the floor, a differential that ranks in the 93rd percentile of all D1 players. A high level two-way talent!
We’re going to be huge this coming season, Fearne definitley likes the high percentage scoring stretch 4 types.
