Weâll need to be as old and matur as possible, so I get what Lambert is working towards.
Plus, some of these players, if they donât redshirt, will play for four years with no real chance at playoffs or a bowl game.
One big issue we are trying to avoid is what is happening to UT-SA this yr, they have 40 Seniors this season.
That is a problem for sure. Fortunately, they have a very good shot at a bowl bid this year. Their first season was very similar to ours, maybe a little worse. Their only D-I win was an overtime victory against fellow up-start Georgia State, and they also lost to a D-III school. UTSA has really put together an impressive program, and I think is in a better position currently than ODU.
Agree that they have put together an impressive, but I think ODU is in a better spot. UTSA, with 40 seniors, is in a position to fall off hard next year. ODU has been killing it on the recruiting front and their team is a bit more balanced.
Guess weâll see soon though. Both were great additions for CUSA.
Charlotte has been very conscious on the recruiting front to avoid that mistake of have a monster graduation class. They have 18 commits for next yr on the books an are looking for two more to cap about 20. I think they will look for another RB and TE to fill out class for next yr.
They will keep a few extra spots in case anybody rises or falls through the cracks while continuing to look for incoming veteran talent looking to transfer back home as well.

I only know of 7 commits. We need a commit tracker thread.
No DTs out of 17 playersâŚ
Yep, this is a big concern for me. That is easily our weakest position by depth.
Iâm ok with talent there, problem for me is 4 R-SO DTâs on roster with Ogunjobi, Fleming, Beck and Syracuse Transfer Josh Manley.
Only 1 other player lines up inside at NT is Freshman Tyler Fain.
I think next yr they look to add more NT on roster. This yr sounds finished outside of another TE and RB. Some others getting looks but most of it has cooled off outside 2-3 guys.

The Florida commitment that we learned about and was listed on Wednesday, was removed by Thursday. What happened there? Anyway, back to 16 commits.

The loses on offense do not worry me as much. We seem to have a ton of depth at receiver and H-Back, and I think Alexander can be just as productive as Barnwell was as the number 2 back. If Maetron Thomas isnât redshirted, he should be significantly better than Barnwell. I have no doubt that we will score a lot this season.
The loses on defense are pretty concerning. We lost three of our leading tacklers on an already bad defense, but there does seem to be some room for hope. The D-Line has improved with experience, Nick Cook seems to be a solid replacement for Caldwell, and Ardy Holmes has been pretty impressive.
