49ers Men's Soccer ⚽

YEAH NINERS!

Final 4! 49ers & 3 bee-hatches.
We have 4 in our name, so we have to win.

Great win.

But one thing that really bothered me and I have to ask, the yellow card at the 52nd minute, WTF!? I didn’t get to see the whole thing and that was one of the few plays I saw. When I saw him pull the card I was really excited because it would basically be a corner for us. But then the card was applied to us. How the hell did that happen?!

There’s a video on the right side of that page with interviews and clips of their players, talking about the game and us.

Sunday’s weather forecast for Storrs, CT looks pretty decent:

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Calm wind becoming south between 4 and 7 mph.
“we aren’t cocky,mon” Yea, right!

Sunday marks the fifth trip to the NCAA quarterfinals under head coach Ray Reid, and it is the fourth time that the Huskies will host a quarterfinal match. Reid, who led UConn to the national championship in 2000 and is in his fifteenth season at the helm in Storrs, knows that the stakes cannot cause the Huskies to approach this game differently. “We can’t approach it like the biggest game of the year,” said Reid. “It has to be just another game for us.”
May be they should treat us with respect. That was what happened to the last 3 victims. ;D Besides, we didn’t just get to Elite 8 by accident or . . .our good looks. ;D I have a better feeling about this game than the game against the Zippers.

Niners 4 Dogs 1

Let’s Go Niners! ! ! Neuter the huskies ! ! !

Yeah! mon. Next victim.

Another interesting matchup against Creighton…Will be a significant challange…I like our chances.

No teams from the Big Least in final four…Wow!

PS: Need to make sure we keep Gunn and staff…there is something special being buildt here in Charlotte by Gunn…need to keep it going.

When we played UNCCH earlier in the season, it was called at 70’ for weather and we trailed at 2-1.

I can’t wait to see how UNCCH reacts when their ‘baby brother’ gives them a thrill and a trip back to Chapel Hill!

Retain Gunn!

[glow=GREEN,2,300]FORTY!!![/glow]

From their board:“Trip to the final four looks likely. Creighton would be tough. Nice showing for the Big East so far.”

So how did that work out for ya?

Darren it was called at 1-1? The internet feed in Miami Beach said we lost 2-1.

So we may get a chance to play against the fagship school when it counts. I think we will win.

Whoops, I stand corrected. http://www.charlotte49ers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPID=72433&DB_OEM_ID=23200&ATCLID=205245753

This team deserves to be rewarded for what they are doing for this University. I had multiple complete strangers ask me about what our soccer team is doing this year at one of my sister’s recent basketball games. I’ve never been asked anything specific about what someone or something is doing currently at this University. I can’t wait to support these guys in Hoover.
