More on the year round model proposal from Matt Brown of Extra Points.
Apparently not a 32 team breakaway but a pilot program.
I hope that they do end up supporting all of college soccer.
I am not opposed to the year round model they want to go to. I’m just tired of the consolidation crap. Let every program compete and stop showing favoritism to programs because of conference affiliation when they don’t have the history to deserve it.

Two players signed MLS Next contracts.
Niners are down 2-1 to CoC in the 2nd half… We have mishandled some passes into the box or we would have had at least 5 or 6 prime scoring chances. CoC is also packing it in on D.
I’m not liking what I see on our back line. We lost a whole lot from last year’s team. A ton of work to do there.
Good guys won 3-2.
Was nice to see how we rallied and started building an attack from the wings, similar to the last couple of years.
I still think we looked slow and disorganized on our back line.
But I thought we looked janky last spring too and we ended up having a great season.
Niners lead Elon 2-0 at half in their last home spring game.
Elon had a solid season last year. They played about 6-7 ranked teams and almost split with them, IIRC.
We have dominated run of play. Ball has been in their half, and mostly in the final third for the majority of the match so far.
Our back line is playing a little better. Not being challenged as much though.
