This guy is a very promising player. One of my favorite to watch. I still don’t think I know what happened to Jaedon Richardson who wore the same # last year and played the same position, but he seems like a worthy successor.

Liberty announced back in April they would be moving from the OVC to the SoCon (2026) in men’s soccer. The Sun Belt nor AAC is in need of members, plus historically Liberty has been poor. They don’t sink any of their online money into men’s soccer. They are 4-0-2 this year but their 4 wins are Regent (DIII), UC Upstate, VMI and Longwood. They also had a draw with Radford who hasn’t won a game since Nov 22022.

I don’t think Upstate is that bad of a team. I know one of their players.

Liberty, UAB, College of Charleston and Elon all losses
Georgia State had a 2-2 draw
No one on their schedule is close to being a great opponent as of yet. Their only win probably come against their best opponent to date in USC. The only schools on their future schedule that is better is Furman, High Point and Gardner Webb,

This is not chiding Nineradvocate. It is underlining how important “knowing the players” is! If any of our fans are so “lucky” as to have a cup of coffee with an actual player, they should count themselves exceptional! 99.9% of our student body will not even catch a glimpse on campus, unless they’re getting out the classroom door. What a loss! Cedric was an enigma, but he was commonly seen in the student union beating fellow students at chess. How times have changed. I count as a ‘blessing” having lived during the era I did!

I was judging it based on their player pool and actually watching them play.
I didnt think Liberty was that bad either.
I thought Liberty might sneak some top 25 votes simply because they have no competition in the OVC. Didn’t know that about them switching to the SoCon. Seems like a much better fit.
However not bad doesn’t mean good. The Niners would beat either one of them.
You aren’t sneaking in the T25 with wins against:
Regent (DIII No DI RPI), Longwood (Big South 15th rated conference RPI 171), Radford (Big South 15th rated conference RPI 127), USC Upstate (Big South 15th rated conference RPI 136) and VMI (SoCon 18th rated conference RPI 212)
Georgia Southern just snuck in the T25 for the 1st time since 1997 (28 years ago). They are 5-0-1. And their only notable win is Charlotte other wins are UNCW, Stetson, Presbyterian and Jacksonville. Truthfully that’s way to weak to be a T25 program.
